Blackley Pike Fold Lane WW2

Situated off Old Market St, Blackley, Manchester.
Above: The building seems to have been built on top of the site of an old mill.
The remains of this structure and the trees hide it slightly. But it is hard to imagine the scene during the war.  A  similar image is posted on lancashireatwar.co.uk...at one time you could access the site, however , the entrance is shuttered up by breeze blocks , the slits have also been filled in. Having a similar appearance to a surface built air raid shelter, however the main function could  be a Home Guard installation for the  ICI building located 150 yards away. Prior to being blocked inside there are 4 main storage areas.
